Multi-stage AO process was adopted as biological treatment technology, in which the influent organic carbon source was fully utilized via multi-point inflow mode. As a result, the effect of phosphorus and nitrogen removal performance could be strengthened and the adoption of hydraulic mixing mode in the anaerobic zone and anoxic zone directly contributed to saving energy. Up-flow floating media filter was adopted in advanced treatment process, in which the self-filtering water gravity backwashing was used, water pump, backwash fan and other equipment were not adopted. The structure are semi-underground and covered with a roof for soil greening at the top. The wastewater treatment plant has both the beautiful environment of the underground part and the convenient operation and management of the above-ground part.
